Kamala Harris: This is how Joe Biden explains his decision for Senator

With the nomination of Kamala Harris as vice-president, Joe Biden wants to win over Donald Trump. Now the Democrat has explained on Twitter why he chose the Senator.

Joe Biden has nominated Kamala Harris as his vice presidential candidate. On several tweets, the designated challenger of US President Donald Trump has now explained why he chose the senator from California.

Harris, as U.S. vice president, would, in the Democrat’s view, be ready for action “from day one” in the face of many crises. “We will not have a minute to waste,” Biden wrote. That was the reason why he had chosen the black politician as his candidate.

If he and Harris win the November 3rd election, he and Harris would inherit “many crises” and “a divided nation” after Trump’s term in office, Biden continued, saying the US is facing “the worst pandemic in 100 years” and the worst economic crisis in about a century. In addition, he said, there are currently the loudest calls in a generation for justice for people of all skin colors.

“I need someone beside me who is intelligent, strong and willing to lead,” wrote the 77-year-old Biden. Harris is the right person for that.

The 55-year-old black senator retaliated with a video in which she praised Biden as the right man to lead America out of the crisis.

Trump in turn attacked Harris head-on in it. He told the White House that he was “surprised” by Biden’s decision, after all, the black senator had done “very, very badly” in the Democratic primary race. The President also accused Harris of having been “very nasty” and “disrespectful” to Biden in the Democratic primary race.
